Privacy Policy for MClaw (Clawbot on iOS)

MClaw ("the App") is an on-device AI agent designed to run entirely on your iPhone or iPad. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App.
1. Overview
MClaw is built with a privacy-first architecture:
- No account required
- No server connection required for core functionality
- No cloud processing by default
- All AI processing runs locally on your device
Because of this design, most user data never leaves your device.
2. Data Collection
MClaw does not collect personal data on external servers.
The App may process the following information locally on your device only:
- Text prompts you enter
- AI-generated responses
- Local memory stored by the agent
- Scheduled tasks (cron jobs)
- Configuration and preferences
- Local files you choose to interact with through the App
This data is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to the developer.
3. Local Storage
To function as an autonomous agent, MClaw stores some data locally, including:
- Agent memory and state
- Task schedules
- Logs required for debugging or automation
- Model files and AI resources
- App settings
All storage remains within your device's secure operating system environment.
You can delete this data at any time by:
- Clearing app data, or
- Uninstalling the App.
4. Network Access
MClaw is designed to work offline. However, the App may access the internet only if you explicitly enable features that require it, such as:
- Downloading AI models
- Installing extensions or skills
- Accessing external APIs configured by the user
- Requesting remote LLM services
- Executing skills that require network requests
When such features are used, data sent to third-party services is controlled entirely by the user's configuration.
The developer of MClaw does not operate a backend that receives your prompts or agent data.
5. Data Retention
All data processed by MClaw is retained only on your device. There is no fixed retention period imposed by the App; data persists until you delete it (e.g., by clearing app data or uninstalling the App). The developer does not retain copies of your data on any server.
6. Third-Party Services
By default, MClaw does not integrate with third-party services.
If you choose to connect external tools, APIs, or services, those services may process data according to their own privacy policies. Users are responsible for reviewing those policies.
7. Analytics and Tracking
MClaw does not include tracking, advertising identifiers, or third-party analytics.
The App does not track users across apps or websites.
8. Data Security
Because all core processing occurs locally:
- Your data remains on your device
- No centralized database of user data exists
- No account credentials are stored by the developer
iOS system protections help secure the data stored by the App.
9. Your Control
You have full control over your data:
- Delete stored memory at any time
- Remove installed skills or models
- Disable network features
- Uninstall the App to remove all stored data
